Day 5 in Osaka
I had been spending my money so cautiously the past four days that I left with quite a big sum in my wallet. Lets just say the fifth day was a time where I splurged the most.
I bought 2 bags. Well, its not that bad.
But taking into account that I bought another one when I reached Singapore a day after. Thats considered pretty sinful. Yeah. And I've been labeled shopaholic by Joshua. Currently, I have more than 10 bags in my room.
Now thats madness!
The day started off rather slow and dull. The best thing was on that day, everyone got into their bold Nanyang Junior College uniform which I thought was utterly embarrassing. Yes. Its true. We looked like prisoners who just escaped from a jail. Walking passed the Japanese who were in their school uniform made us so inferior to them.
Checkered pants and Sailormoon cutting top for the girls made us go
green with envy.

We walked through a market selling the usuals. The common stuffs you find in Singapore, fish, meat, pork and etc. The place was humongous though. I loved the ceiling cos it had different sections with various colours on the glass ceilings.

And thats Cheryl trying to peep in.
Got to the place which sold a lot of electronic gadgets and the groups filtered away. Farhan, Andy and me separated from the rest aimlessly. Good thing we were away from the majority cos luck was on our side and we found this shop which sold anime figurines!
Freaking cool.
I was super sad after that.
There was this Final Fantasy collector items which cost bloody 9800 Yen. It came with Cloud's blade and his motorcycle. And of course Cloud Strife himself. Good gracious it was way too expensive for me to afford. So, I'd passed.
Before that, we bought ice cream to soothe our throat. And the shop keeper was so nice to help us take a picture.

Dang, My face very round. I didn't know that.
NO. Its only a bad angle.
This was outside the shop that I mentioned.

Doraemon so cute.

Tall tall Andy!

Andy Naz Farhan Cheryl.
Shinsaibashi after that.
Was excited to go back there again.
And finally I bought things. Essentially, for me.
I had a lot of fun shopping with Farhan.
I sound gay. Ha. Ha.
Gayshit.
No la. Theoretically, we were simply being pangseh-ed by the rest when the both of us were so engrossed in choosing the sports bag. Hence, we can't find anyone so we took the time to go shop ourselves.
Most unfortunately, both of us were short of cash, and we started to beg around for money to purchase the Fred Perry bags. Okay. Not literally. Just searched for NYJC-ians but none appeared. Luckily, god's will Mrs Judy Tan came into sight and Farhan borrowed some money.
Ultimately, we bought the bags.
Fred Perry.
And a Puma for me and a Nike for Farhan.
Ha. Ha.
After awhile, we saw Chris and Shaoming-ge. Thus, decided to join them. Both of us shared lunch. I know. Pathetic. Because we hadn't had any money left except for the tonnes of coins I had which I later used it for the meal.

And so, we headed to Meijo Gakuin High School. Some facts on the band. They have about 500+ students in the school. And 120 of them are band members. Thats not all. They are a Gold band not just in Osaka but the whole of Japan as well.
They even appeared in the All Japan Best Competition DVD 2007.
COOL TO THE MAX.
NYJCSB settling down.

Can you imagine their junior band play 10 times better than us?!
And they only started learning in April.
What shit is this!

Presenting the Main Band.
No need say. Superb as hell. They played without scores. They sounded great. They had dancers. They had gimmicks. They had enthusiasm.
What more can I ask for?

During the photo taking session, I was busy holding the NYJC banner and took the chance to snap this shot.

Ahhh. My scandal.
Eb clarinetists.
After the whole exchange had ended, we had a small. Chit chatting, eating, and taking pictures.
Frankly, I had the best time in Meijo Gakuin compared to the other two schools I've visited.
And I learnt quite a lot of things there. On how they train and etc.
I can tell you they are perfectionist.
They go into deep details when comes to Music.
And that explains why they are in perfect shape.

So many clarinetists. Brrrs.

It was a fruitful exchange with them. We even exchanged our badges.
Sayonara Meijo Gakuin High School! After that, dinner was on our own. I think. Can't really remember.
Farhan and me were so hungry that we bought burgers and fries. I swore it never tasted so good before in my life. Minghuat went off with his section and so he was missing.
Anyway, ta pao back to Hotel.
I can just drool over my keyboard right now.

This picture shall mark the end of Day Five in Osaka.

Ahhh. The bags that enticed us. The yellow belonged to Farhan and the white mine.
