Every cheena out there are celebrating the day with reunions.
Getting angbaos from their kins. I'm sure you Chinese will be rich for a day or at least a few weeks. Such pleasant occasion to gather together and spend the time having fun and catch up on what is left behind. Reminds me of Hari Raya.
Too bad this is not one.
Its Chinese New Year!
What better way to take advantage of the long holiday with a BBQ with your loved ones. My family had one. Its sort of like a tradition which is stuck to us. Every CNY, we will and must have this gathering.
Its fun yet boring. Contradicting indeed. Can't simply describe it in words. I love the company but do not like the peaceful serenity of the whole thing. I need something to do. My hands are itchy. They have to fiddle with something! If not they will cramp up and die of boredom too. So i should give my fingers frequent exercise.
Since you know, the Chinese are busy with their own stuffs. The minority races and the foreigners (eg. Phillipines and PRCs which I always have a problem with no matter what they do be it right even. I will find a single fault with them. If not, I will kindly and let my helpful side of me make them do wrong things then.) will have their personal celebration.

Alert:Super far off, digression
I think I have this
weird allergy against these innocent foreigners who are here to earn a living. I seem to have an unseen problem with them.
Even the Banglas are not spared!
Pfff. For one, I can at least get along with some of my friends who are PRCs. But when comes to strangers, I will never welcome them cos they are just taking too much precious space in Singapore. Come on!
Balik Kampung (go back to your hometown) la!The Government dream to have an ideal population of 6 million humans here. And will be desperate enough to include other people from other countries just to fully utilize Singapore.
Are you fat head or what?
In the coming years, there wouldn't be any pure Singaporeans.
You might walk down the street and all around you are some people who don't originate from where you are living. I call them
fake Singaporeans (that is if they get a PR here).
Up to you on how you describe a real and true Singaporean. Maybe we too aren't totally Singaporeans. We are a mix of this and that. At least we are born here and our grandparents are pioneers of this small country! So I still believe we are pure Singaporeans!
The only solution is, which I think is the best which however doesn't sound so appropriate to the ears.
YOU SINGAPOREANS HAVE MORE BABIES!
DON'T CARE!
JUST MAKE BABIES!
MAKE IT A HOBBY WITH YOUR FUTURE PARTNER!If possible, create a football team out of your family members. That would be very nice.
Help Singapore and the government to realize our dream!
6 million Singaporeans!!!With that, we don't need any excessive foreign talents lingering among the fresh air in Singapore.
Okay. Done ranting. Phew.

In the evening, Shaun and me went back. Don't intend to stay over there. I prefer my bed and bolster to hug on. So slept at home alone. Home alone.
Before that, a friend joined the both of us for dinner. Chatted and slacked like never before. Feels good to elude from all the hustle and bustle of life for awhile.
Interesting fact. I slept from 1am to 8pm today. (:
